A letter to All OMM Members

Hello Friends,
While the new year is just around the corner, we are extremely delighted to introduce ourselves to you as the members of Orlando Marathi Mandal (OMM) organizing committee of 2010.
First of all, we are truly thankful to the OMM Committee of 2009: Yashashree & Ravi Angal, Anjali & Milind Dange, Mitali & Kenny LeCroy, Prachi & Nishant Muley for their valued guidance and help in making a smooth takeover.
The second, please mark your calendars for the “SANKRANT PICNIC” :
Date and Time: Saturday, January 16, 2010 from 11 AM to 5 PM.
A separate Evite request will be sent out soon with further details. Confirm your attendance on Evite and be set to have a fun-filled day.
Throughout the year, we will strive to bring Marathi speaking people and friends in the community together to Enjoy the festivals of Sankrant, Gudhi Padwa, Ganapati Utsav, Kojagiri, and Diwali. But it’s not limited to that. To be a member of Orlando Marathi Mandal is really worth it when you are far off your home in India and you miss something back there, be it cricket, politics, theatre, cinema, literature, a weekly “Katta”, an elderly pat on back, an emotional support or simply speaking “Marathi” as you will find people sailing in your boat, someone whom you can relate to. We will be planning competitions, games, and other activities throughout the year as our resources permit. We welcome ideas, suggestions, comments, and feedback from each of you.
What else we are working on:
1. Registering Orlando Manarathi Mandal as a Non-Profit Organization. We really seek your support as members. Remember that “Orlando Marathi Mandal” is our own community that needs our membership and participation.
2. For the Social Networking Bees on Internet, we have Orlando Marathi Mandal community on Orkut and Facebook. Please join and promote the community and participate in activities.
3. Udating the Orlando Marathi Mandal Website http://www.orlandomarathi.com so that you can find all the information handy in one place. Keep an eye on emails and check the website regularly for forthcoming events and updates from Orlando Marathi Mandal.
4. Updating Members Contact Details.
Do not hesitate to contact us on email or phone for any information. If any of your friends would like to be a part of OMM and are not currently on the email list please let us know about them or feel free to forward this email.
