Our Gudi Padwa function will be on Sunday Evening March 25th. For this function, we will have some competitions and cultural program for which we are inviting entries.
Competition
· Kids
o Age Group – Up to 8Years – Simple Questions will be in English and kids will write answers in Marathi written in English. Bonus Points if answers are written in Marathi.
o Age Group – 8Yrs – 16yrs – We will give topic and kids will write short essay on topic related to Marathi culture. Bonus Points if answers are written in Marathi.
· Grown Ups
o Surprise Games –You will have to wait till the function. It is fun and you don’t want to miss it.
Entertainment Program Details
We will have two categories of performances.
1. Maharashtrachi Lokdhara – Marathi Folk Dances
2. Other Programs
Maharashtrachi Lokdhara - Total Duration - 30mins
This year we are planning to showcase the popular folk dances of Maharashtra as performed by our local enthusiasts. Let’s get back to our roots and celebrate our Marathi culture.
There are many Marathi folk dances and we won’t be able to cover all but we will do our best. Every Dance will be allocated 3mins.
Here are the dances for which we are looking for participants (Kids and Adults). Reach out to your friends, form a group, pick a dance and start practicing Remember to inform us ASAP as to which dance you have picked because the dances will go on first come first go basis. However we will never turn down any entries from kids.

· Shetkari Dance
· Gondhal
· Dindi
· Gopalkala Dance – Reserved for Young kids and looking for entries
If anyone is interested in putting up any other kind performance they are most welcome to do so.
